Long Weekend Fun

Friday night, I was first hesitant to pursue our little beach trip for the long weekend, but thankfully, waking up around 1pm, no rain, so TULOY ANG LAKAD!

I had the most expensive Frozen yogurt. it was 150 pesos with just Wallnut and Cereal :((

I went with my sister and few family members along with ate's co worker to Matabungkay Batangas.

Point of no turning back

I have a few days left, whether to push through with lawschool or postpone it until next year or erase it in my plans. I have a few options, I think, still thinking what suites me best. But one thing is for certain, graduating at the mere age of 19, and having to push through with something that could mean a total waste or a success (like if i drop out after a year or two or really graduate and pass the bar exam)

Anyhow, reflecting on things in my experience doesn't have to be in terms of thinking about it seriously or balancing what the pros and cons are, I think it will come when the time is right, and whatever that decision maybe, I want to do things right this time :)

I though of listing down my possible options
1. Finish Polisci by April and Go to Lawschool
2. Apply for exchange program, and come back after a year and go back to option 1
3. Finish Polsci, and go back to my mom, and probably try my luck in UN, internship or whatever
4. Finish Polsci and take MA in some field along with linguistics :))
5. Just try to apply for everything from option 1 to 4 so that I always have a back up

Right now I want Option 2 and 3..

yesterday, after the POLISCY Meeting, went home straight
around 2:00pm had 2 packets of noodles then around 2:30 went to sleep.
woke up the next day (meaning today ^^) at around 8:30-9:00 am

sleep around 18-19 hours

this made me realize that, that my normal sleeping patter, sleeping at 2:00am and waking up 6-7am daily, makes me a zombie in school. Little push in the right button im fast asleep, either in the car, classroom or library :))

We should all sleep 10 hours a day

ahahahahaha

I've been neglecting this blog for far too long! and now with the new deviantart account, things gonna be pretty much hectic. Anyhow I came up with a few changes not just in this blog but my life in totality :)

1. Will Update at least once a week in both Blogspot/Deviantart
2. Uninstalled my Yahoo Messenger. You can still reach me in my Skype/Msn

*the next few would have little effect on these accounts. but just want say it anyway

3. Decided not to pursue law. Just let my life go with the flow and see how it will end up. Probably try exchange program this december, and if not just go back home to my mom and try my luck there
4. Do what I want in my life, and never care what others might say or think about it.

Time for everything

Whenever things aren't going my way or how they should really be, I just would wish to go away somewhere else, like before go to my mom every vacation, perfect timing to get away from things.

These past few days have become more than what I can handle. Theres always ups and downs in life that we can never control, you just have to make the best of it.

Right now I'm wishing for a few things.
Here are a few:
1. At least get a 3.0 for this term
2. mom buying me a Plane ticket for this term break
3. Be able to go with the flow

I wish I can get away once in while to get my head straight.
Escape somewhere and start everything over, or perhaps reset everything and start from the very beginning.

Just like what I said before, there is time for everything, if you miss that chance its either you regret it your whole life, or thank yourself for missing that chance

Probably I just need a hug from my parents

Anyhow, I wish everything works out -_-

there little around below my shoulder, (im around 187cm)
here how it goes, i can;t remember the exact but close enough

Girl1: Break na ba kayo? (did you guys break up?)
Girl2: OO eh kung di kami nag break 18 months na kami (we did, if we didn't it would be 18 months already)
Girl1: so 1 year and 8 months?
Girl2: oo.......(few seconds pause) ay hindi 1 year and 6 months (yeah.... no!! 1 year and 6 months)

Me: AHAHAHHAHAHAHHA :))

this made my afternoon, not just the stupidity but also girls probably in there grade 5 or 6 having boyfriends already

It was a nice day. Nothing out of the usual but just everyone being nice to you :D
it's pretty much true that if its your birthday, It's your special day, everyone WILL be nice to you, driving you anywhere you want etc. I wish its my birthday everyday hahaha

Even the greetings came in a unusual manner, People greeting you, people you won't expect to know(thank you facebook), around 15 highschool friends and the usual college friends , along with family that keeps on calling me, and ate cameh constantly hugging me

My dad gave me the best present of all today, HAHAHAHAHA, They called then, my mom told me they sent me 100 bucks to my account and that I should just take it and do what I want, but then when my dad got on the phone he said first thing " Happy Birthday To Me, Wag mo gastusin agad ha! (Don't spend it to soon)" and then I just said "million ba to? (did you give me millions?)". ^^

Comedy :))

Listing things down

After a few days of being sick, I still feel down all over. I'm like a zombie in the mrt, trying not to move a muscle, and just stare at the glass window as it rush through all the signs that I've seen so many times. It's probably those days that, just after school I just want to get out and go home, Stay in my room(my comfort zone) and just stare at this laptop. boooooo

I think I lost some of the urge to move forward. -_-

Right now I'm listing all the things that I want to do for this year. And I hope at least half of them will be done

1. Pass the Korean Certificate Course 1
2. Be able to play a full song on the piano without my fingers trembling
3. Pass all my subjects this term with high grades
4. Get my Passport Renewed by this Month
5. Hopefully get through half of the Chinese Characters that I'm Learning
6. Go to nanay by this sem break.
7. Watch Fifa in South Africa next summer :D (I wish)

Talk: Philippine Party List System

A talk hosted by POLISCY along side with the FES exhibit. The speaker was Etta Rosales. The guy at side beside the one with the glasses, is our professor for GOVERNA HAHAHAHHAHA

The talk mainly covered the Party List system in the philippines and its major points needed improvement. The speaker, also explained how party list members are suppose to comprise of 20% of the total population of HOR.

Anyhow, Days have passed, but i still feel that the term has just started, Midterm is coming along but still haven't finished the readings assigned from last 3 weeks.

Around monday noon, while cutting all the bookmarks for the ARW (annual Recruitment week) I slit my thumb with a Very Rusty Cutter. HAHAHHA :) I don't know but Pain is not something i'm scared off. I just keep on laughing on how much blood was coming out, and other org mates looking at me with the disgust/pity look. hahahah.

Then after, I had to get a anti tetanus shot from St lukes. then Wednesday night, I had to make new flyers for the ARW I slit my thumb again. Around one third of an inch above the previous cut. :))

BLOODD :)) hahahahahah

South Korea Ties with Saudi Arabia 0:0 from the last match on 10/06/09. Now this means for Saudi Arabia needs to win their next match to qualify for South Africa. After I watching it, the game was intense. Even though South Korea is already qualified they just won't allow the other team to goal!

Boryeong Mud Festival

I saw an ad in KBSWORLD aka Channel 75 about the upcoming Boryeong Mud Festival. The commercial made it look so great, making you want to go there. It was like a water park but instead of water of course, just plain mud. People running around covered in mud. It seems very promising. According to Wikipedia ^^ :

The Boryeong Mud Festival is an annual festival which takes place during the summer in Boryeong, South Korea. The first Mud Festival was staged in 1998 and, by 2006, the festival attracted 1.5 million visitors to Boryeong.The mud is dug up near Boryeong, trucked to the Daecheon beach area, and dumped at a 'Mud Experience Land'.The mud is considered rich in minerals and used to manufacture cosmetics.
Some of the final weekend participants are foreign tourists, and especially American GIs, but most of the participants during the week are Koreans, attracted by clever marketing by the town. The town fathers and mothers discovered that the mud is more lucrative as a tourist attraction than using the muddy fields for agriculture.The economy generated from the festival supports the many hotels and restaurants along the waterway and several blocks inland. There is also a great deal to see and do in the vicinity and a free tourist bus takes visitors to local sites, including an impressive coal mine and a famous Buddhist shrine.
In 2008 the festival took place between 12-20 July. In 2009 it will take place from July 11-19.

Even talked to Ica (a friend whos in Korea) about it, she says that shes probably gonna gothere. I pretty sure the feedback from her will be great :D. We also talked about my so called plan to run away and stay in Korea for a week. But with the current situation and further delaying of every single detail in life like school and the South Korean Embassy which is open only on weekdays from 8am to 12noon. its seems to be a very improbable. But I hope I do get it before thi July. I have all requirements anyway, the only problem is the time, I heard they always get long lines.

I hope I can get a tourist visa and visit. My mom still ows me one tour in another country with our Slovakia trip cancelled because of the Swine Flu and me being lazy the whole time in vienna.

Back To My Reality -_-

This morning, even though my dad woke me up and telling me his about to go, all I did was of course, give a hug and go back to sleep. Then waking up around 11am, reality sank into my mind. Tatay left and went back to Vienna today. Which means, i'll be eating shin ramen every dinner and have no grown up to do everything for me :(. I'm gonna miss them. Especially my mom, which left like 2 weeks earlier, I realized how nice it is when someone wakes you up every morning just to make sure your not late for school.

Even at lunch, I had to shout to my sister to cook rice for us for lunch. Then after, we went to SM Fairview for a little trip to the gym and a few things to buy. Anyhow about the Shin Ramen ^^ it became one of my bestfriends a few months ago living in Taft alone. Its a easy to make spicy noodles and just add one egg, and occasional sesame oil :D

It cost around 30-35 PHP depending on the Store. Its easy to make and I'm sure you'll be full after one these. I actually thought about making a tutorial how to make a simple ramen ^^ hopefuly thats something you can watch out for.

P.S. I hope my dad feels comfortable in the 14 hour flight to amsterdam. He usually gets cranky with long flights along not being able to smoke every now and then ^^

After 2 Days.

1st Day: The first trip to the LTO, arriving at around 3pm already, had its ups and downs. I had my medical and drug test in front of LTO, then around 50 mins later I was done with it, and I was able to pass my application. But still was asked by the lady to come back tomorrow because it was nearing 5pm. :(

2nd Day : Arrived around 9 PM. reviewed for the written exam. Around before lunch, done with it and was asked to come back at 1pm for the seminar and practical exam. After the seminar my Dad helped by bringing along his Honda Civic for the practical exam. So I was first in line, then around 3pm I was done and got my licensed released :D. I really happy I passed. With me having little experience with driving. the test was just around the block then after it was over. I had a few embarrasing moments, such as the car dying out on me when the stupid Adventure went straight through, when I was exiting the block -_-. I'm happy the evaluator wasn't very tough, quite nice actually.

Anyhow, Thank you to my dad who helped me throughout, even though he keeps on yelling at me for all the reasons of the world hahahahaha. Driving me there twice and waiting for me even though his busy. And thanks for him for making me even more nervous on the actual test :(( and making additional comments along side with the evaluator

After watching the replay in ESPN of the JAPAN vs Uzbekistan, I went crazy. Shinji Okazaki getting the winning goal for Japan making it a 1 - 0 win. They are the first to qualify for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. It was a great game, with the Seigo Narazaki of Japan practically blocking every closest attemp of Uzbekistan to goal and tie up the match. Another surprising event was the Red Card to Makoto Hasebe, which I think unnessesary. The elbow was the after effect of the speed of both players. tsk tsk the referee was an ass.

Also, Australia along side in the first group qualifies with Japan. In the other block of countries, South Korea Advances getting 14 points!

The surprise for this is the North Korea getting a (0:0) draw with Iran ending Iran's chance to qualify for South Africa. Its sad for Iran, but of course, it was amazing how in the last 3 decades North Korea not being able to push forward now seems very promising. They also defeated UAE in the previous game in Pyongyang, Park Nam Chol and Mun In Guk getting a goal each 2:0.

Even in Round 3 they had tied up with South Korea ending it with both 12 points in their block fo countries. But still they haven't qualified yet, they have 11 points along side with Saudi Arabia with 10 points. I really hope they push forward to the semi finals, making it even more exciting.

Too bad The Philippines doesn't have a Football Team for the World Cup. I'll be rooting for South Korea, Japan and DPRK until the end!!! GO ASIAN TEAMS!

It would be great, if I can watch the finals if any of the teams I want would push through, but seeing that I know only a little percentage of the players, it wouldn't be that fullfilling, more and more new people are coming along. Its hard to keep track of them all. ^^ . Watch out for these games. Currently there is no Schedule for them in ESPN for the time slot for Manila, but you can get online updates while the match is on. Since last year, after I was supposed to go to an exchange program in 한국, I have been trying to learn the Korean Language. Today, after the trip to the gym and after watching a movie with my sister, I decided, why not draw something and maybe add a few words in korean that I've learned. Its quite fun actually, writing in Hangul is like drawing ^^. Drawing symbols I guess

It actually quite easy to memorize, especially their alphabet using your home keyboard! :D any Vista laptop can change their Keyboard input to korean ( if you want to venture to it).

Trip to BIR

Today, waking up with the sun striking through your body,while the AC is turned off already and with no Electric Fan = sweating. Anyhow, I woke up pretty late, around 10am and had to rush to the bathroom to go to BIR to get my Tax Identification Number (TIN).

Why Would I need One? I'm still a student right?

They are now requiring you to have a Tax identification number to apply for a non professional Drivers license.

What Are the Requirements for a TIN?

If your a Student, and just needs it for getting a drivers/student license, you would need the following:

1. Barangay Clearance ( 20PHP from your local Barangay Hall)

2. Any Valid ID

3. Application form of your Driver's License (you just have to show it)

How long will it take?

In my case, it took less than 2 minutes, It took longer to find someone with a ballpen to fill up the application. There weren't any lines and their was about 5 counters open.

Anyhow, This picture I saw in while searching for a BIR logo, there were a exact sign in the BIR Office in Mindanao Ave. I thought it was funny at first, since there were barely any people around, but according to my dad, in the manila office there are hundreds of people per day... yikess

I'll keep updated for my next trip to a philippine Bureaucracy, Which will be the Land Transportation Office this coming monday for my Non-Pro License! :)

2 American Journalist in North Korea!!

Just read from yahoo news that 2 american journalist was arrested at the china/north korea border up north near the river. long story short, they were filming and probably doing another documentary. Anyhow one of the journalist was one of the people who filmed a documentary inside north korea before along with the mongolian eye doctor mission. (National Geographic Inside Undercover in North Korea)

I feel sorry for their families, however in line of what one of the journalist was doing, she will probably get punished severly, and now with the tension of the nuclear acts of north korea and their refusal for the 6 party talks. They have been caught in the mayhem in which is very pitiful for their case. In my opinion if ever she gets severly punished, then its totally understandable, your trying to interfere and scatter what is happening inside North Korea, a communist state, of course you'll get punished

Daily Routine

Throughout my internet life, which started around 2000 when we had our first DSL connection, my routine in the internet had changed throughout. It ranges from MSN, to Online Games to Blogsites and to UCC. But now i think i've settled enough to know what I want to look at.

In no Particular Order:
1. Yahoo Mail
2. Youtube Updates
3. Multiply (though i barely update)
4. Facebook
5. Digg techy stuff
6. DLSU Mail, checking out the External Relations email
7. Blogsite of people like, (BuhayKorea,ChrisBlog,MarieDigby and few random stuff
8. Torrentspy and mininova for new updates
9. Forums, avistaz and pinoyexchange.

anyhow, I was supposed to go to the gym, but the rain keeps on making me go back to bed. -_- there goes my plan for the surfing trip. anyhow, Naruto is on ABSCBN, because of the storm, no cable therefore, im stuck with the local channels -_-

*I'll try to keep updated with pictures perhaps. My slr has been neglected for days now.

As you know, because of the Swine Flu infestation in school, i have 10 free days. Right now I finally had the guts to fix my room, and get my desk back. Fix few things and of course, including washing the dishes, loading the laundry. anyhow, these are a few pictures showing how my room is coming along :D (i promise you, this is clean for me)

I got my laptop,Hardisk,printer and lamp all ready to use :D. I'm still missing the HD LCD monitor i've been saving for

*take note of scenary outside the window. Thats a Rambutan Tree. and below the table theirs my old laptop in the red casing :D

and my bed full of all the knick nacks, cellphone, pens, ipod and few laundry that needs to be folded :D

*try to find my slippers

Anyhow, I just remembered that my mom and sister left today, to go back to vienna. I still thought that their just in the mall doing their usual business. I hope they have a good flight, considering my sister is always agitated with simple things -_-

right now, still have to wire a few things to the TV/Laptop/Hardisk for my geekness :)

As of now, De La Salle University Manila has announced a 10 day no school policy because one of the students has now been confirmed with the Swine Flu.

Advantages at my point of view:
1. Right now i'm sick, this gives me enough time to rest
2. All readings for political economy will be postponed to my pleasure BUWAHAHHA
3. the 10 day vacation will give me enough time to work out, for the planned surfing trip with mara :D
4. and lastly this will give me enough time with my Dad before he goes back to vienna.

Disadvantages:
1. This will mean that there will be no sem break for this term :((
2. Everything planned by the POLISCY org will be moved
3. This means that the past few days of preparing for GOVEDEC will be disregarded :((

Anyhow just to give a little comment about the 10 day no school policy they announced, first and formost, It will not guarantee a precaution for the students. 2nd they should be tracing everyclassmate, professor, friends of the carrier to be able to contain more spreading of the virus.

Right now, i feel so glad, that my fever is probably gone.
